A growing staple of the Grand Rapids music scene, The Autumnatic currently works as a quartet comprised of Nick Arthur (Guitar, Vocals) Aladin Kadic (Lead Guitar) Caleb Denman (Bass, Vocals, Programming) and Scott Tabor (Drums, Programming). Perhaps most noted for their striking versatility in songwriting and engaging live shows, the band has a fresh take on what it means to be a self made, collaborative, creative entity in today's ever shifting indie music culture. Nicholas Arthur is the founding member of The Autumnatic, and serves as lead vocalist and rhythm/lead guitar player as well as songwriting with Scott. A songwriter from a young age, he made his television debut at the ripe age of 16. Since then Nick has released several albums, toured pretty much everywhere in the United States, and had a stint studying music at The Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
After returning home from College, Nick quickly realized he needed to put a band back together. What started as a project to share his music again, quickly morphed into a band that fit so well together it was ridiculous not to write music together.
Nick combines buttery smooth R&B vocal styles with blues and rock influenced guitar parts along with the rest of the band to create a sound so unique they had to create their own genre: Pop Rock, Baptized in Blues and R&B.
Scott may be the youngest member of the band, but what he lacks in experience in the indy scene he makes up for in tenacity and a hunger for bigger and better things. As drummer and song writer for The Autumnatic, Scott serves up fresh ideas, tasty grooves, and "drives the bus" through every show, making sure everyone stays in time and has fun all the way through.
Born and raised in Byron Center, MI, Scott has dreams of filling arenas around the world, spreading the sweet sweet "Pop Rock Baptized in R&B" around the world.
Caleb, or as Nick likes to call him, Dirty Leb, plays bass and sings second vocals for The Autumnatic. He is also responsible for art direction and branding for the band. While bass may not be his first choice in instrument, he sure knows how to keep it fresh and funky, and hold down the low end in the pocket with Scott. Bass can be overlooked, but without the low end pairing up with the drums, the train is coming off the tracks real quick.
Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, IL Caleb was drawn into the mystery of music at a very young age, and as a result has become a multi-instrumentalist, and has a knack for hearing things in a song that arent there yet, and bringing them to life.
Aladin (YES, that REALLY is his name!) is the last member to join The Autumnatic, but this isn't his first rodeo. After playing in bands around the world for 20+ years, he's gained a lifetime of knowledge and wisdom in all things pertaining to the crazy world of being an indie musician. As lead guitar for The Autumnatic, Aladin is the secret weapon everyone wishes they had. From lead riffs that compliment melodies to face melting solos, Aladin does it all.
Originally from the country of Bosnia, Aladin is classically trained on the violin, and brings that wizardry to the guitar, further proving he's cooler than you, as if that were any mystery.
